For as long as I can remember I’ve written and heard music in my head. When I was 11 I got my first electric guitar and that helped me to consolidate my ideas for the first time. Over the years I’ve probably written at around 200 songs/pieces of music and to this point my writing has remained a very personal pursuit. Until the age of 20 I was untaught and learned my instruments simply through enjoyment and the figuring out of my songs. I’ve gigged in many bands from the age of 15 and have been producing myself from the age of 14. On many of my recordings I’m playing every instrument but over the years I have developed a handful of incredibly talented and highly trusted musical buddies who always take my music to a more inter-dimentional level.

I was always fixated on the idea of being in a band but eventually decided that it isn’t much fun playing the same 10 songs every night for months on end. I figured out that by being a producer, not only can I get any of my own songs recorded on a whim but I also get to work incredibly closely with other artist who I can bounce off and learn amazing things from and who’s talents always rub off and contribute to my own artistic process. I think producing’s the shit! I think its much more satisfying to be a professional creator rather than a professional product.
